Meeting Points

Meeting Points: There will be 4 meeting points in and around the conference centre 

 There is limited seating at the SkyCity Convention Centre on Saturday 4 November.  In order to assist participants, additional meeting spaces have been secured at the Crowne Plaza Hotel (across the road from the SkyCity Convention Centre) and Bar twentyone (SkyCity).  Meeting Points have been set up for the 2017 Conference to assist delegates network with colleagues.

On Sunday 5 November and Tuesday 7 November the Auckland Rooms, Level 4 (delegate lunch area) is also available for meetings.

 Then on Tuesday 7 November, most spaces on Level 4 (Epsom Rooms and Auckland Rooms) are available for delegate meetings.

  - Meeting Point A:  Level 5 Promenade, SkyCity Convention Centre.  This meeting point is near to the SkyCity Main site and  there will be some lounge furniture seating.  The Registration and Information Desk is nearby in Marlborough 1, Level 5.

-  Meeting Point B:  Bar twentyone (main site, SkyCity, near meeting point A) Bar twentyone is available during the day and has casual seating for meetings.  Tea and coffee will be available between 9am and 5pm each day.

-  Meeting Point C:  Elliott Meeting Rooms, Lobby Level, Crowne Plaza Hotel (opposite the SkyCity Convention Centre)  The Elliott Meeting rooms will have seating for meetings for 150 participants.  Tea and coffee will be availalbe betwen 9am and 5pm each day.

- Meeting Point D: Level 4 Promenade, SkyCity Convention Centre.  There will be cafe style seating for up to 80 participants.  

 The SkyCity main site, adjacent to the Convention Centre has many cafes, bars and resturants.

  The SkyCity Auckland Convention Centre is located in the heart of Auckland’s CBD, just off Queen Street - the central city's retail strip and the hub of the central business district.  From the Convention Centre, it is a 10-15 minute walk to the Viaduct, Auckland’s waterfront development, which is home to some of the city's most popular cafes, bars and restaurants.  An over bridge connects the Convention Centre to the SkyCity Hotel, a variety of restaurants, bars, nightclubs and the famous 328 metre tall Sky Tower.

The SkyCity Grand Hotel lobby, restaurants and bars are built directly below the Convention Centre.

GUSTO Lobby Bar - open all day until late – this space can seat roughly 40 persons in tables of two and four.  Bbarista made tea & coffee’s and a full bar service is available through the day.

Private Dining Rooms

SkyCity has 5 private dining rooms which can be exclusively booked and can accommodate between 12 and 28 persons – these are located in GUSTO, Masu, Sugarclub and The Grill.  Please email the Secretariat at if you would like contact details.

Crowne Plaza Hotel - Joint Headquarters Hotel

The Crowne Plaza is a three minute walk across Albert Street from the SkyCity Convention Centre. 

Saturday 4 November, Sunday 5 November and Tuesday 7 November
The Elliott Meeting Rooms - Booked exclusively for APAA Participants and are open between 0900-1700, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.   The Elliott meeting rooms are accessed via the hotel lobby and can accommodate 150 participants.  Tea and coffee will be available all day for participants.

 Lobby - large lobby area with plenty of seating with food and beverage service.

Aria Bar - Perfect for a quiet meeting, Aria Bar is open daily from 7 am till late.
Aria Restaurant - An extensive menu inspired by local ingredients. 

Walk through the Crowne Plaza to access cafes and restaurants in and around Elliot Street.
